Pathways from September 11 to January 6th

Today’s focus is…

…on Peter Bergen, journalist and Vice President of the New America Foundation,
who led a panel of seasoned practitioners and experts from the Navy, Army, Air
force, psychology and criminal justice, who offer evermore solid ground for
a firm and scientific position against torture. The CIA and other officials
from the Bush administration keeps telling us that the “Enhanced Interrogation
Program” yielded valuable information. First, the CIA claimed valuable information
that in truth was derived through traditional techniques. Second, if you have
been convinced that torture works, and is acceptable in the name of national
security, this panel discussion will disabuse you of that notion. Too few
Americans have watched this panel discussion.
